Omeruta combines local workspace tools with optional account and online features. The destination of data depends on the feature you choose.
Know where information is used
- Workspace notes and code are stored as files in the local workspace folder.
- Sharing, Chat, calls, Work, and organization features send the information needed for collaboration to the configured service.
- Hosted AI providers receive the prompt and any references you deliberately include. Local AI and Ollama use the configured local endpoint instead.
- Dictation processes speech with the installed local speech model.
Review file references, terminal output, attachments, and selected media before sending them to another person or an AI provider. Organization policy can limit which features and providers are available.
Allow operating-system permissions
Omeruta requests a permission only when a feature needs it:
- Microphone supports voice notes, dictation, calls, and recordings.
- Camera supports video calls.
- Screen recording supports screen capture and screen sharing.
- Notifications allows message, call, and application alerts.
If access was denied, open the operating system's privacy settings, allow Omeruta, and try the action again. Some permission changes require reopening the application or choosing the device or capture source again.
Never include passwords, provider keys, access tokens, or private terminal output in a screenshot or support report.
