Workspaces

A workspace is a folder that Omeruta opens as a separate working area. One workspace is active at a time, and its local files and folders appear in the file panel.

A workspace is a folder that Omeruta opens as a separate working area. One workspace is active at a time, and its local files and folders appear in the file panel.

Omeruta creates Default Workspace during startup. If no registered workspace remains active, Omeruta makes Default Workspace active. The built-in Tutorial & documentation root is available in Notes regardless of which workspace is active.

Add a workspace

You can add a local folder without signing in:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. In Workspace, select Add Workspace.
  4. Choose a folder.

Omeruta registers the folder as a custom workspace and switches to it. The folder's files then appear in the file panel.

A folder cannot be added if it is already registered or if it is inside, or contains, another registered workspace folder.

Switch workspaces

  1. Open Settings and select General.
  2. Find the workspace you want in the Workspace section.
  3. Select Switch.

The selected workspace receives the Active label, and the file panel changes to that workspace.

Rename or remove a custom workspace

Custom workspaces have two additional actions:

  • Select Rename, enter the new name, and select Save. This changes the name shown in Omeruta; it does not rename the folder on your computer.
  • Select Remove workspace, then confirm Remove workspace. Omeruta removes the workspace from its list, but the folder contents stay on your computer.

Default Workspace cannot be renamed or removed from the workspace list.
